“Improv Your Life” Workshop

{ebevent 47}

Life and business are unpredictable - there's no script. So to thrive in an uncertain, volatile world it helps to stay calm, think quickly, take bold action, pay attention to the response and change course accordingly. And that’s exactly what improv performers do!

Join Paul Falconer and Kay Ross for a hands-on, practical workshop and conversation about how to apply an understanding of mindset mastery and the principles of improvisation (or “improv”) to your life and work. No acting or improv experience required!

This workshop is for you if you want to build your skills in:

  • Communicating, one-to-one or one-to-many
  • Being creative, innovative and spontaneous
  • Working and playing in teams
  • Handling change, stress, ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Being an attentive listener
  • Understanding yourself and others
  • Making confident decisions
  • Opening up to new, unexpected information and changing your strategies
  • Being an inspiring leader (and follower!)
  • Trusting yourself and others
  • Being present in the here and now
  • Having fun

“The rules of improvisation appeal to me not only as a way of creating comedy, but as a worldview. Studying improv literally changed my life.”
- Tina Fey

“A good improviser is someone who is awake, not entirely self-focused, and moved by a desire to do something useful and give something back and who acts upon this impulse.”
- Patricia Ryan Madson, author of “improv wisdom - Don’t Prepare, Just Show Up”

Your tour guides:

Paul Falconer, Coach and Social Innovator
“Combine improv with mindfulness and some key insights into the workings of mindset, and you have a wonderful opportunity to quickly improve not only your quality of life and relationships, but also your responses, actions and ultimately the results you experience. But more than that it’s just a fun, fast and effective way to grow and develop.”

Kay Ross, Improv Performer, Applied Improv Trainer, Member of People’s Liberation Improv
“The more I study and practise improv, the more I see how applicable it is to everyday life and business. Approaching everything with an improv mindset helps me to be better at teamwork, leadership, communication, trust, creativity, spontaneity, accepting opportunities and challenges, learning from my failures and not taking everything so seriously.”
